We were deeply saddened to hear that Lawrence C. Becker has died. He was an excellent philosopher, a model of grace and resilience, an admirable person, and a good friend to many of us.
Becker made significant and lasting theoretical contributions to the philosophy of disability. He also advocated for people with disabilities and broadened public awareness of disability issues.
